Jetstar Pacific cancels flights because of birds
A representative of the low-cost Jetstar Pacific airlines on May 10 said that the firm had to cancel and delay several flights because of birds.
On May 9 in the evening, an aircraft on the Hanoi — HCM City air route had to land for an engine check after birds flew into its engines. This incident brought about the cancellation and delay of subsequent flights.
Previously, another plane of Jetstar Pacific was also hit in the engine by birds. The air routes that were affected included HCM City – Vinh, HCM City – Hue, HCM City – Hai Phong, HCM City – Da Nang, Hanoi – Can Tho and some others.
Jetstar Pacific has had to arrange some more staff at airports to serve passengers who are affected as a result of the incidents. It also has had to compensate passengers.
On May 10, the firm had to employ one more Airbus 380 to deal with stuck passengers.
