Culture and sport festival for northeastern region to be held

The sixth cultural and sport festival for ethnic groups in the northeastern region will be held from November 7 to 10, 2008.
The festival will have the participation of ten provinces in the region including Bac Giang, Ha Giang, Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen, Bac Can, Lang Son, Cao Bang, Tuyen Quang, Quang Ninh and Vinh Phuc.
The event will see various activities such as traditional art festivals, traditional costume shows, folk festivals, culture and culinary camp, art exhibition and sport competitions. The opening ceremony will be broadcast live on Vietnam Television and Radio the Voice of Vietnam.
The festival is jointly organised by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Bac Giang provincial People’s Committee.
